This México City native has been an active player in the music business for over 25 years. Aureo started his career as a drummer and quickly developed into a go to songwriter and producer for many of the most recognized names in Latin Pop Music.  Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1993 from Boston’s Berklee College of Music with a major in Commercial Arranging and soon after moved back to México City where he further developed his career as Songwriter, Arranger and Producer. As one of the most successful producers in the Latin industry, he helped develop a new generation of talented Latin artists, producing albums for Natalia Lafourcade, Ha-ash, Motel and also established acts as México’s Paulina Rubio and Alejandro Fernandez with whom he has work for the past seven years on five of the artist’s most successful albums of his career. Baqueiro produced the comeback album for Thalia Primera Fila for Sony music selling close to a million copies making it her most successful album to date. Among his other songwriting and production credits are: Aleks Syntek, Chayanne, Moderatto, Paty Cantú, Moenia, Kalimba, Leonel Garcia, Maria Jose, Kabah, Argentina’s Axel, La Ley’s lead singer Beto Cuevas, Puerto Rico’s Circo, Peru’s leading singer songwriter Gianmarco, Lu, Mario Domm, Benny, among many others. As a producer, he has won four Latin Grammy’s and his work has received over 12 Latin Grammy nominations, including two for Producer of the Year and one for Song of the Year as well as two Grammy Nominations and two Latin Billboard nominations for Producer of the Year. As a songwriter, he has received: five SACM (México’s authors and composers society) awards for most radio air played songs of the year, one ASCAP Award for most performed Pop/Ballad song in 2009 and one BMI Award for most performed Latin song in 2009
