Corey Field is the Principal Author of the legal treatise "Entertainment Law: Forms and Analysis" (Law Journal Press); is a former President of The Copyright Society of the U.S.A.; and teaches a course at UCLA Extension titled "Copyright Law in the Entertainment Industry."  He is Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office of the national law firm Ballard Spahr LLP, and serves on several entertainment industry boards of directors.  Corey's has a unique background in the entertainment industry, first as a composer who holds a PhD in Music Composition, then as a successful executive in the international music publishing industry, all before he began practicing law. Corey represents clients large and small, worldwide, in all facets of the entertainment industry, including transactional and litigation.  Having been a musician and member of the music industry prior to becoming a lawyer, Corey especially enjoys explaining copyright law and the music industry to lawyers and musicians alike, and is a popular speaker and television guest.  His presentation for the ASCAP EXPO has been described as one of the most fun, educational, and unique tours of the world of music and copyright law, and is sure to entertain as it explains it all.
