Da Internz have certainly paid their dues. The Grammy Award-nominated songwriting and production team— Marcos "Kosine" Palacios and Ernest "Tuo" Clark—have come along way from the Windy City to becoming one of the most sought-after hit-making teams in the music business. In 2004, while both still living in Chicago, Kosine and Tuo crossed paths serendipitously. The west side native Kosine and the south side's Tuo bonded over music almost instantly after meeting. It was never about one genre for them either. They collectively obsessed over R&B, pop, soul, and hip hop. They turned that obsession into a full-time career, becoming something of a local hidden gem as far as production. Chi-town still wasn't big enough for them though. They made the big move to Los Angeles in 2009. Relocating and becoming embedded within the fabric of the scene, Da Internz tirelessly worked their way towards the top. They count everyone from Nas, Big Sean, Ludacris, Game, Plies, and Chris Brown to Justin Bieber, John Legend, Rihanna, Kat Graham, and Melanie Fiona amongst their credits, often personally sought-out by these marquee acts. In 2010, Da Internz received a Grammy Award nomination for their songwriting and production work on Justin Bieber's My World 2.0. That led to even bigger breakthroughs. Their production work on Big Sean's "Dance A$$" led to a double-platinum hit, they stood behind the board on Rihanna's gold- certified "Birthday Cake" [Featuring Chris Brown], and they helmed Nas's new hood epic "The Don" alongside Salem Remi and the legendary Heavy D. Even while churning out a bevy of chart smashes, these two individuals embrace community and those in need. As an integral part of the ASCAP Songwriting Residency SCORES program, they taught inner city youth about songwriting in Chicago and Los Angeles. Don't let the name fool you. Da Internz are as professional as it gets. Meet songwriting and production's new bosses.
