President - My World Productions

David Margolis is the President of My World Productions, the boutique management company he founded 15 years ago. The company is devoted to developing artists in all aspects of their recording and writing careers but with a heavy focus on owning/controlling masters and exploiting their copyrights worldwide. He currently represents Rosi Golan, Greg Holden and Katie Costello. Recent successes include #1’s in the US (“Home” 4x platinum), Holland (“The Lost Boy”) and Germany (“Stardust”); songs on platinum albums by Phillip Phillips (Interscope), Little Big Town (Capitol Nashville) and Lena Meyer-Landrut (Universal Germany); numerous features in Film/TV such as The 2012 Olympics (NBC), Chasing Mavericks (Fox/Walden), Trouble With The Curve (Warner Bros), Sons of Anarchy (F/X), Vampire Diaries (The CW), Private Practice (ABC), Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family); and major ads for Target, Chicco, Coldwell Banker and AT&T. It’s this experience in creating diverse value for copyrights that lead David to partner with entertainment powerhouse The Collective and Kobalt Music Publishing to form a full-service publishing entity called Collective World Publishing. With offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York, the pub company’s focus will be on substance and service, both traditional and progressive, in the US & Internationally. David began his career 20 years ago as a musician, recording engineer and reproducer at Power Station recording studios. He ran Radio CBGB, a free-form station he created with iconic CBGB founder Hilly Crystal. He’s also worked A&R for Radioactive/MCA, American Recordings and Arista.
