SVP, Licensing - 10th Street Ent. / Eleven Seven Music Group

Mara Schwartz is Senior Vice President of Licensing for 10th Street Entertainment and Eleven Seven Music Group, as well as COO of Five Nineteen Music Publishing. Based in Los Angeles, she is responsible for placing and licensing songs in 10th Street and Eleven Seven's roster in films, television shows, videogames, commercials, trailers and interactive media. 10th Street/Eleven Seven's artists include Motley Crue, Dirty Heads, Nico Vega, Papa Roach, Shiny Toy Guns, Buckcherry, Jet, She Wants Revenge and Oh No Fiasco. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Creative / Film, Television, Advertising and New Media at music publisher Bug Music. She also signed several clients to Bug, including Grizzly Bear, of Montreal, M. Ward and the National. Before Bug, she was editor in chief and creator of Circuit, the first music videomagazine on DVD format, and the instructor for the UCLA Extension course "DIY DVD: Creating Your Own DVD." In addition, Schwartz is a freelance journalist who has written extensively on music and its convergence with media. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times Magazine, LA Weekly, New Times Los Angeles, Raygun, Seventeen and many other outlets.
