Composer & Supervising Music Director - General Hospital

Seven-time Emmy Award winning Music Supervisor/Composer Paul Glass began his career at ABC in 1991, as a part-time music director on the daytime drama Loving. A year later, Glass was brought onto One Life To Live to support a new post-production structure and in 1996, became Music Director of One Life To Live. In March 2012, after the show was cancelled, Paul Glass was named Supervising Music Director of General Hospital, where Glass is responsible for all aspects of music, including composing and producing original underscore and music supervision. During Glass’ tenure at One Life To Live, the show won its first EMMY for Music in 2000, that year also winning for Best Original Song. Since then Glass has won subsequent EMMYs for Music (2005), Best Original Song (2007) and Sound Mixing. In the last 8 years, Glass has over 10 Emmy nominations in the Music Direction and Original Song categories. Through solid industry contacts and strong production, Glass also made One Life To Live a destination for music’s top performers, which included Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, Rachael Yamagata, Pussycat Dolls, Snoop Dogg, Nelly Furtado, All-American Rejects, and Lionel Richie, among others. In 2013 under Glass’ direction, General Hospital revived its Nurses Ball, a 3-episode musical event as part of the serial’s 50th Anniversary.
